2-day intensive training focussing on State aid issues essential for management and implementation of ESI Funds for the running and upcoming programming period.
The training focuses on State aid issues of particular importance for EU funds specialists:
- Concept of State Aid and Notification in Practice: State aid, assessment of State aid compatibility and notification procedure in a case involving EU funding
- Relation between State Aid and ESI Funds: the obligations of Managing Authorities with respect to State aid and options for securing the compatibility with State aid in Operational Programmes and EU funded projects
- State Aid Modernisation Initiative - the new rules essential for ESI Funds: Regional Aid Guidelines, de minimis rules and General Block Exemption Regulation
- State aid & Infrastructure: the definition of economic activity after Leipzig-Halle Judgement and best practice in funding infrastructure with EU Funds
- The funding gap method: compliance with the principles of necessity and proportionality of state aid
- State Aid and Financial Instruments: applicable rules, assessment and case study
