Introduction (4): Who Can Help Me With These Tasks?
All accountants can help with bookkeeping/filing/administrative activities and with cost planning and profit computation.
Tax planning is an area where expertise varies by accountant. Depending upon your situation, you may wish to plan your tax situation in conjunction with other issues such as estate planning. In that case another professional adviser, such as a tax lawyer, notary or tax planner, may be better qualified to help you.
Always be clear about the assistance you need from a particular professional advisor. As the hourly amounts charged vary considerably by type of advisor, try to only use the correct professional for the appropriate task.
