Hunton & Williams Promotes Dr. Jörg Hladjk to Counsel

Hunton & Williams is pleased to announce the promotion to Counsel of German-qualified lawyer Dr. Jörg Hladjk. Through his many accomplishments, Dr. Hladjk has distinguished himself as an excellent lawyer and a valued member of the Global Privacy and Data Security practice group.

Dr. Jörg Hladjk joined the firm’s European Data Protection and Privacy team in December 2005. His practice focuses on European and German data protection compliance. Dr. Hladjk advises multinational clients in all industry sectors on a broad range of complex privacy and data security matters and related risk assessments. He has extensive experience in developing strategies for international data transfers and leading pan-European compliance projects to implement standard contractual clauses, Binding Corporate Rules and U.S.-EU Safe Harbor certification. Dr. Hladjk regularly represents clients in contentious privacy matters before the German federal and state data protection authorities.
Dr. Hladjk was recognized as “top-tier” practitioner by the International Who’s Who of Internet, E-Commerce and Data Protection Lawyers 2012. He writes and speaks widely on data protection and data security compliance topics.
