Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that from 1 September competition partner Matthew Levitt will be taking on the role of Brussels Office Managing Partner. He will be taking over from Ciara Kennedy-Loest who has managed the office since July 2012.
Matthew is a partner in the firm's Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice focusing on transactional, advisory and contentious EU and UK competition law. He has an exceptionally high profile in the maritime transport industry handling the most complex international issues in this sector. He also has expertise in the energy and utilities sectors as well as mergers and cartels generally.
Matthew commented:
"I look forward to serving as Office Managing Partner at this exciting time of growth for Hogan Lovells and for our Brussels office. The office is central to the firm's global regulatory offering, handling the most complex and challenging transactions and investigations for our international clientele. We will be continuing to expand our market-leading antitrust and regulatory practices."
Ciara Kennedy-Loest will relocate to London but will continue to split her time between Brussels and London.
