Sullivan & Cromwell Expands its European Antitrust Practice, Dr. Michael Rosenthal to Join Sullivan & Cromwell

Sullivan & Cromwell LLP announced today that the Firm has elected to its partnership Dr. Michael Rosenthal, 47, who most recently led Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s European Union and German competition and antitrust practice. Building on the success of its existing practice in the field, Sullivan & Cromwell further strengthens its global antitrust practice with this move. Dr. Rosenthal will be based in Brussels and will join Sullivan & Cromwell’s global antitrust and competition group.
In his almost 20 years of practice, Dr. Rosenthal has advised a broad range of clients on all aspects of EU and German competition law. He has worked on a number of the largest global transactions as well as complex cartel investigations and monopolization matters across many different industries, such as technology, natural resources, chemicals, airlines and automotive.

Dr. Rosenthal graduated from Mainz University, Germany and holds a Ph.D. summa cum laude from Mainz University as well as an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and a degree in business law from the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France. Dr. Rosenthal practices in Brussels before the European Commission, and is admitted as a lawyer in Germany and New York.
